-Invitations, on recycled paper, were a classy simple post-card, and all the details of the wedding were grouped on a fabulous website, including the RSVP -Instead of floral compositions, we mainly used flowered plants and branches. Some were rented, some were shared with another wedding in the afternoon, and some were gifted to guests! -Flowers and plants were chosen at the local flower's market. -All decorations and center tables came from the bride's attic: a bit of creativity, a lot of dusting, et voila! -All vendors were local and used local produce. -The lavander for the party favors, raw cotton lavender sachets, was locally grown -Bride and groom wore borrowed accessories, and recycled gold wedding bands. |
A rustic barn engagement partyGreen Facts:
-Location: a romantic wood barn surrounded with nothing but woods -Invitations were emailed -Floral decorations were picked in the woods: branches, autumn leaves, weeds, and tiny apples! -Vases and candle holders were borrowed from a theatre the bride-to-be was working at -Ribbons and decorations all came from a box of craft scraps that was hidden in the attic -Accessories were purchased at a consignment store |
